When Eric Nam first started uploading covers to YouTube, little did he expect that just a few months later he would become a K-pop star by appearing on Korean talent show Birth of a Great Star 2. After years of writing his songs backwards, so to speak, first in English and then translating them into Korean, he now has a clear goal in mind: after the Korean market, he now wants to conquer the American market as well. With his first English album and his unique mix of classic Korean pop and contemporary US R’n’B, which is as independent as it is suitable for the masses, he has now managed to develop from a K-pop star to an internationally admired singer. So it’s about time he told us with his performance on Saturday, November 11th.
